Italy, here we come!

This is just a random picture of a packed carry-on. It should be abundantly clear to anyone who knows me that it represents only a fraction of the things I need for a trip.

Well, we're packed. Me with my medium suitcase, carry-on and purse. My mom and dad with their carry-ons.

After trying unsuccessfully to dissuade me from taking the suitcase and most of the contents therein (though I did waver for a split-second), my dad now contents himself with making sarcastic comments.

"Are you sure you don't want me to take that for you? I still have room in my carry-on."

I did manage to infiltrate the weak link of the enemy: I persuaded my mom to let me pack an empty duffle bag in case she wants to bring some stuff back with her.

Italy, here we come!

(Update: We ended up buying a whole lot of things in Italy (a lot of food!), and using the duffle bag to ship it back. It was a Very Good Idea, if I do say so myself.)
